At a press conference today, Andbank, an entity specialising in private banking and wealth management, is beginning its activity in Tarragona with a private banking centre located in Rambla Nova.<\/p>\n
According to Carlos Aso, CEO of the Andbank Group, \u201cuntil now, Andbank served the customers in this financial centre from Barcelona. However, proximity is key to our service, which is why we\u2019ve decided to set up an office in a central area such as Rambla\u201d.<\/p>\n
The centre will be led by Antoni Abad, Executive Director of Andbank, with Carlos Conde as its manager, while Carles Adam has also joined as director of private banking. According to Abad, \u201cwith the launch of this office, we intend to achieve a business volume totalling over \u20ac100 million over the next three years in Tarragona\u201d.<\/p>\n
At the informative meeting, Carlos Aso introduced Andbank as \u201ca firm specialising in private banking and asset management with a business volume in Spain amounting to \u20ac18,805 million, placing it seventh in the ranking of private banking institutions operating in the Spanish market\u201d. The Andbank Group operates in 11 countries around the world.<\/p>\n
Andbank has operated in Spain for 10 years and it has 23 private banking centres, 144 bankers and 194 financial and ESIS agents.
\nIn Catalonia, where Andbank has increased its business volume by 9% to over \u20ac5 billion, the entity has three large private banking centres in Barcelona and one in Girona and it has recently begun its activity in Lleida and Tarragona. It also has nearly 30 financial agents, chiefly in the Barcelona and Lleida areas.<\/p>\n
Andbank is launching its private banking centre in Tarragona because, \u201cin addition to the importance of being close to our clients, we believe that the business and industrial capacity of the area in sectors such as chemicals and petrochemicals, tourism, agri-food and activity at the Port definitely means we have to be here in person\u201d, explained Antoni Abad, Executive Director of Andbank.<\/p>\n
Carlos Conde, the manager of Andbank\u2019s private banking centre in Tarragona, believes that the institution\u2019s service proposal is \u201cabsolutely distinctive, as Andbank has 90 years\u2019 history in wealth management, it\u2019s a bank of family origin that\u2019s governed by long-term relationships and its service objective focuses on preserving equity and expanding it\u201d.<\/p>\n
Our model \u201cis based on offering a comprehensive wealth management service through specialists in different fields: investment management and personalised mandates, asset and tax planning, succession and protocol in family businesses, alternative investments and ESG\u201d.
\nIn this regard, we should highlight Andbank\u2019s activity in offering alternative investment proposals, an area in which the bank is highly dynamic. In 2022, it offered its clients investments in debt, fintech, infrastructure, property projects and the agricultural sector, achieving outlays totalling close to \u20ac1.5 billion in these types of products.<\/p>\n
Carles Adam joined the project in late 2022.
