The bank has named Josep Ponsirenas as new Managing Director of the Business Area to stimulate business for Private Banking and institutional clients of Andbank Luxembourg.<\/p>\n
Ponsirenas has had a wide-ranging career in Private Banking and Business Banking areas, with more than twenty years of professional experience.
\nAndbank continues strengthening its team by recruiting professionals with outstanding careers in the international ambit and highly specialised in the financial sector.<\/p>\n
Escaldes-Engordany, 28 February 2019. Andbank Group, a specialist in private banking, has appointed Josep Ponsirenas as new Managing Director of the Business Area in the Luxembourg subsidiary.<\/p>\n
In this position his principal task will be to stimulate growth in the business of Private Banking and for institutional clients of Andbank Luxembourg, as benchmark in international Private Banking, in management of its own business and for the rest of the Group\u2019s jurisdictions. His experience and knowledge of private banking combined with his training in Corporate Finance will enable him to take a global view of the business and thus detect existing opportunities and meet the challenge.<\/p>\n
Ponsirenas, who comes from Banca March where he held the post of Director for Catalonia and Aragon, has more than 20 years\u2019 experience in private and business banking and team leadership. Earlier he was director of a branch in Banco Espa\u00f1ol de Cr\u00e9dito and in Caixa Catalunya, in both internal departments and the commercial network, with business management functions.<\/p>\n
He graduated in Business Administration and Management at UAB, has European Financial Advisor Levels\u00a0I and II (EFPA), a master\u2019s degree in the Executive Development Program and Executive Master in Corporate Finance and Law, both from ESADE.<\/p>\n
This new appointment reinforces the bank\u2019s commitment to taking on and promoting professionals who have had a broad professional career and are highly specialised in the financial sector.<\/p>\n
During the last year, the Andbank Group has engaged professionals such as Jorge Maortua, former markets and wholesale banking manager in Banc Santander, as a group director, and Josep Piqu\u00e9, ex-minister with wide experience in the business field, both now members of the new advisory council of Andbank Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n
